The importance of the use of language in the world

Knowing English means being able to express yourself fluently, without mistakes, allowing you to present ideas with order and clarity before a native audience. This allows us to understand and assimilate the ideas and answers that other people give, that we hear on the radio or that we read. According to scientific research, studying English or learning a language in general produces certain stimuli in the brain that help improve skills in other areas such as creativity, problem solving, mental ability.

Universal language

English is considered the universal language, it is the language of international communication, commerce and finance. English is a language that is spoken in many places and the native language of many others, it is also the official language of some International Organizations such as the European Union, United Nations or UNESCO. This is due to historical and political reasons, due to the importance that the British Empire had in the past spreading its language across all continents and also to the importance as a current power of the United States.

Work

When you are at work, language is necessary because it give you more opportunities for achieve a better position, by mastering the language, you can to communicate with persons from other countries, improving your work situation and you can have more opportunities with international things, the language gives you advantages in any work area. 

Study

If you want to have a better education, the use of language is always important because, when you graduate, there are many advantages and opportunities giving access to the possibility of studying in other countries and not just limited to the country in which you live. At the time by doing activities or projects, you can find more current and complete information, and therefore, you can access, for example, scientific, technological and academic advances, since most of this information is in other languages.

Other cultures

Studying English is important because it will show you other cultures, lifestyles and different ways of thinking. You will be able to meet new and interesting people and understand their customs. In this way, it will give you the opportunity to see yourself with different eyes, and perhaps you will discover aspects of yourself or your culture that you had not reconsidered before.

Art and literature

Knowing English you will be able to enjoy British humor, Anglo-Saxon literature, cinema and theater, and culture in English in general. With English you will be able to better appreciate puns, jokes, metaphors and all the nuances that are lost in translations. You will be able to watch movies in their original version, understand the lyrics of English-speaking songs or appreciate the stories and entanglements of your favorite video games. When your level is higher, you can even dare to play Shakespeare.

Travel

Speaking English can allow many people to travel around the world and make themselves understood in a wide variety of places.  You can enjoy the trip almost fully as English is spoken on all five continents, and you will avoid stressful situations caused by the language barrier.  In addition to being the most widely spoken language in the world, English is also the official language of many countries such as England, Ireland, the United States, Canada, Malta, Australia, New Zealand, as well as some countries in the Caribbean, Asia and Africa.

It is the most learned language

Despite the fact that English is only the third most widely spoken language, it is surpassed by Mandarin, which occupies the first place since China is the country with the most population in the world, and by Spanish, which is spoken in a large number of  countries and continents, English is the language most learned as a second language.  Although the number of natives who speak English is between 300 and 400 million, the number of people who learn it as a second language is the same, surpassing the rest of the languages.

Vacacions

Learning English is the best excuse to have a great vacation. Studying abroad is the best way to learn English, get to know a new culture, meet interesting people, visit incredible places, and generally have an unforgettable vacation.

Personal growth 

Learning English is easier than you think and the pride you will feel when you have done it is indescribable. Remember that you are walking. Once you have passed the first step, the rest will follow as your knowledge and vocabulary increase; Every time you notice that you understand better, your self-confidence also increases. You will lose all fears and speak English without thinking.
